① Continued use of the unit without cleaning can lead to accumulation of contaminations such as scales, which can become stuck and promote mold and bacteria. Clean the unit at least once a week as a rough standard according to the procedures described under “Maintenance” in the instruction manual.
② It is convenient to have commonly available cotton swabs, sponges and soft brushes, as well as brush with long handle for cleaning inside the duct.
Use a cleaning solution prepared by dissolving neutral detergent in water to deal with stubborn stains. Do not use any detergent other than neutral detergent. The base unit may be scratched. Rinse the cleaning solution off thoroughly with tap water after washing, as insufficient rinsing can cause odor and malfunction.
③ Failure to clean the unit periodically may void the manufacturer warranty when any malfunction occurs due to contamination or the like.
